Android Tablet Updates
For those of you waiting on an ASUS Transformer...
August 2, 2011 - ASUS is reportedly ramping up production on the Transformer 2 set to be released this fall. I would encourage you not to wait and purchase the current Transformer. The current device is out selling every other tablet on the market (some specuate better than iPad 2 as well). The new device will be based on the faster Tegra 3 chipset come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The assumption is that the popular keyboard will be offered in the next version but no one speculates on cross-compatibility. The Transformer 2 is due out Fall 2011.
I got my new toy... ASUS Eee Pad Transformer
July 13, 2011 ...And it is incredible! I have been watching the Motorola Xoom and Samsung Galaxy from their beginning. However, the weren't the right solution for me because I couldn't afford another device on my month phone bill. When I saw a demo of the ASUS Eee Transformer tablet, I was hooked. The device is extremely smooth and fast. The high definition 10" screen is unbelievable. I'll write further on this amazing device in upcoming articles.
The price drop continues on SuperPads...
July 6, 2011 - I bought my SuperPad several months ago and have been happy with it. I was looking on Amazon today and happen to notice the price for the SuperPad is around $160. That's nearly $50 less than when I bought it. If you're looking for a tablet to surf the web from the couch, quickly check email from the local coffee shop, or stay connected to friends and family via Facebook; this is the tablet for you.
Verizon ends unlimited data plan
July 5, 2011 - In an article by CNN Money, I sense more crap from phone providers. It appears that Verizon is following the other service providers and doing away with their unlimited data plans. Many of the readers' posts convey negative sentiments regarding the change. I have to agree with a phone bill rarely less than $300 per month. More money for the phone providers and less options to choose from.
